• New charter service takes off in Cloquet

  The distance between Cloquet and the world just got a whole lot shorter. Two weeks ago, a locally-based company known as Venture North Aviation LLC received certification from the Federal Aviation Agency to provide charter passenger and cargo services out of the Cloquet/Carlton County Airport.
• September 2010: Congratulations Eldon Reeves on receiving the Master Pilot Award from the FAA at the Cloquet Airport quarterly FAA Safety Meeting sponsored by Venture North Aviation, LLC. Eldon Has been a pilot for over 50 years.!

  Dear Bill,

  Thanks very much for the fantastic time I spent with you ! I enjoyed every single hour together with you.

  As a university professor I am a teacher by myself. That`s why I can make a sound judgment if someone is a good teacher or not. Based on this you are really a very good teacher with outstanding qualities. I will use some of your “techniques” when I will go back to teaching at “my” university in Bremen Germany.

  Beside having you as my always motivating teacher I really fell in love with the pure wilderness in northern Minnesota with its over 15.000 lakes and the wild animals (black bear, moose, deer, etc.) you will never ever see in Europe. What also deeply impressed my was the fantastic infrastructure being available for general aviation in your country. And everything is for free. No landing fees, no ATC-fees, no airway-fees, no handling-fees, no airport-fees……but instead friendly people at all airports and a free of charge courtesy car. And of course every airport in Minnesota is big, very modern, has several runways and several instrument approach procedures, approach lighting systems and is open 24 hours and 7 days a week. To sum it up: The “Northland” (Minnesota) is THE General Aviation PARADISE and Venture North Aviation and Bill Stone, the owner, is THE best partner to explore it and learn whatever you would like to learn about flying.

  Having both of my check rides for the private pilot certificate and the instrument rating with Bill Stone was really a pleasure. His friendly, motivating and helpful style always puts the applicant at ease. You can always feel, that he want`s you to pass.

Until I experienced it, I couldn't have imagined how much aviation would open up my world both personally and professionally. With offices located around the state and key vendors scattered throughout the region, learning to fly has connected my company and given us the ability to compress product development schedules as well as address issues before they become a crisis.
